As part of that commitment, we believe in being transparent about the factors that shape our pricing. Recently, one of those factors has been changes in U.S. import tariffs on textile-based travel goods—tariffs that directly affect several of the technical fabrics and components used in our products.

How Tariffs Influence Our Costs

Tariffs are essentially taxes placed on imported materials. When these rates rise, the cost of bringing in the specialized textiles and components we rely on also rises. For a brand like ours—one that uses high-performance, heat-resistant, abrasion-tested materials—these increases have a real impact. 

For example, almost all of our products have a minimum 60% tariff applied as they enter the United States, where our primary distribution centre is based. In addition to increasing the cost of the goods, it has caused us to shift around our logistics to ensure that we offer customers a superior experience. 

And instead of compromising on quality, we made the decision to adjust our prices to ensure we could continue manufacturing products that meet the rigorous demands of Hajj and Umrah.
